Uttarakhand CM Dhami Presents UCC Bill in Vidhan Sabha Tuesday

Emphasizing the commitment towards inclusive development encapsulated in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's mantra of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas', Uttarakhand is set to become the first state in the country to implement the UCC law.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Dhami reiterated the government's responsibility towards all sections of society, emphasizing the importance of equal citizenship rights.

"Our government has taken the historic step of introducing the Uniform Civil Code bill in the Vidhan Sabha, ensuring the participation of all segments of society," he stated.

This momentous decision underscores Uttarakhand's role as a strong pillar in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of 'One India, Great India', marking a significant milestone in the state's journey towards progress and inclusivity, Dhami claimed.

Opposition Congress leaders Pritsm Singh said that they're not allowed to speak on the Bill brought in haste.

But Speaker Rita Khanduri denied this saying they were allowed and debatec the Bill for over 45 minutes or so.

The presentation of the UCC Bill in Uttarakhand's Vidhan Sabha is poised to reshape the legal landscape of the state, setting a precedent for other regions to follow suit in the pursuit of a unified and equitable legal framework for all citizens, said the BJP leaders.
