Zone Chairperson Lion Manmohan Verma said Lions International has been running Hunger Projects globally to tackle food poverty and ensure that every community member gets access to nutritious food.
“By providing nourishment, support and hope, Lions Clubs strengthen communities and empower individuals to overcome adversity,” he said.
Continuing its earlier Food for Hunger efforts, including community langars, the club organised another outreach programme at Kamla Nehru Hospital on December 10 from 12.30 pm onwards, where nutritious meals were served to 345 people, including patients, attendants and members of the public, informed Club President Lion Gopal Krishan Vaid.
The event saw active participation from club members, including President Gopal Vaid, Zone Chairperson Manmohan Verma, Lion Naresh Lakhanpal, Lion Davinder Chauhan, Lion Anil, Lion Sanjiv, Lion K.C. Sharma, and several Lions Ladies who assisted in serving meals with enthusiasm.
