Taking the salute of the state police, homeguards, NCC and cultural troupes on the occasion of the celebration of the 21st day of its formation in Dehradun, Chief Minister counted the achievements of the government ranging from the Right to Service and transfer Act and efforts at developing Uttarakhand as India’s spiritual and cultural capital.
Dhami said the state government spent Rs 600 crore on delivery of health services to the people affected by the Covid-19 pandemic in the state. The school girls have got separate toilets and each block will have two CBSE schools to improve quality of education in the state.
On the checking the migration, Dhami said the road connectivity is being improved to develop trade and industries in the state.
Paying tributes to the former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who had formally created the Uttarakhand state, Dhami also remembered army and police jawans who made supreme sacrifices to the nation and the state.
The netizens of Uttarakhand said on social media that even after 21 years of its statehood, Uttarakhand has yet to have its stable capital. In winter state capital is Dehradun , while in summer the government migrates its lock stock and barrel to higher Gairsar town in the central part of the state due to vote bank politics, they claim. This annual migration cost the fund starved treasury dearly, they comment.
In a message to the Uttarakhand government on its formation day, Prime Minister Narender Modi said the both “Pani and Jawani” of Uttarakhand are benefiting the development of state.
