Shimla, Aug 8: Around 37,000 cases have been identified for settlement in Himachal Pradesh’s 3rd National Lok Adalat 2026, to be held across all courts on September 12.
Member Secretary Ranjeet S Thakur said the Lok Adalat provides a time-bound, amicable dispute resolution platform, with efforts to ensure maximum participation and settlements.
Organised under Chief Justice Gurmeet Singh Sandhawalia (Patron-in-Chief, HPSLSA) and Justice Vivek Singh Thakur (Executive Chairman), the initiative aims at speedy settlement and reduced litigation.
An online ePay facility is available for motor vehicle challans before Traffic Magistrates.
An awareness drive is underway with support from local bodies, NGOs, PRIs, PLVs, and transport services. Coordination is also being done with Bar Associations, insurers, banks, and financial institutions.
Litigants are urged to approach courts on September 12, 2026, and media has been requested to spread awareness.
This is the third National Lok Adalat in Himachal Pradesh in 2026.
