Vikramaditya Singh Dedicates Honour to people of Shimla Rural
Shimla | London:
Public Works Department Minister Vikramaditya Singh, son of six-time Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, has been honoured at the British Parliament’s House of Lords by the World Book of Records, London—an achievement he described as a moment of immense pride and deep emotion.
The World Book of Records, London, is an international organisation that recognises and documents outstanding achievements across fields such as public service, governance, social work, innovation, culture, and leadership. Headquartered in the United Kingdom, it honours individuals and institutions worldwide for excellence, impact, and contribution to society, with its recognitions often presented at prestigious global forums.
Sharing the honour on social media, Singh said the recognition symbolises how a son of Himachal Pradesh can carry the state’s name onto a global platform. He received the Certificate of Excellence from Lord Rami Ranger, a member of the House of Lords, calling the moment far more than a personal milestone.
“This honour is a tribute to the sacred soil of Himachal Pradesh and the trust reposed in me by its people,” Singh said. He dedicated the award to the residents of Shimla Rural, party workers, supporters, and mentors who guided and blessed him at every step.
The minister said the international recognition has strengthened his resolve to pursue public service with greater integrity, transparency, and dedication.
He reaffirmed his commitment to work for Himachal’s development, empower its youth, protect its cultural identity, and fulfil the aspirations of every common Himachali.
Calling the recognition a collective honour, Singh said, “This award truly belongs to every Himachali,” terming it one of the proudest moments of his public life.
