Addressing public  at Aut, Drang in Mnadi,  Jai Ram Thakur said  the present state Government is striving hard to get the greenfield airport sanctioned for the state at Nagchala in Mandi district.  This airport will not only be important from a strategic point of view but it will also boost tourism in the region. 

He announced upgradation of veterinary dispensary Kot Khamrada to Veterinary Hospital, upgradation of Primary School Dehra Nallah to Middle school, opening of Primary School at Rehan, Rs 15 lakh for construction and upgradation of various roads of the area and opening of ‘Balan Depot’ of the State Forest Corporation between Nagwain and Takoli.

To score a political point against former Congress minister Kaul Singh Thakur, Jai Ram Thakur  claimed  present four years tenure of the state Government is far better than the previous Governments as Drang has witnessed an unparalleled development during this period.

He said that recently the Prime Minister, on completion of four years tenure of the present State Government, inaugurated and laid foundation stones of developmental projects worth Rs 11,500 crore for the people of the State. He also congratulated the people of the State on the auspicious occasion of Basant Panchami.

Earlier, the Chief Minister inspected progress of Hanogi bridge at Hanogi over Beas river connecting Drang and Seraj Vidhan Sabha areas of Mandi district being constructed by spending an amount of about Rs. 22 crore. He inaugurated the Public Works Division Office at Thalout which would immensely benefit the people of Balichowki, Panarsa and Pandoh area. 

The Chief Minister also visited jetty site at Aut, and  laid the foundation stone of Rs 1.15 crore Bachat Samiti Shops at Aut.

Drang MLA Jawahar Thakur said the Hanogi bridge will connect Drang and Seraj and will boost  economic activities in Thalout and Aut.  The water supply schemes and road projects worth Rs 417 crore were being executed in the constituency during the last about four years.

Brig Khushal Thakur urged the Chief Minister for proper compensation of the oustees of the Aut and Thaolut Bazaars. Local panchayat president Bhushan Verma welcomed the CM.

Sundernagar MLA Rakesh Jamwal, chairman zila parishad Pal Verma, chairman wakf board Mohmmad Rajbali, president BJP Mandi district Ranbir Singh, Mandal BJP president Seraj Bhagirath Sharma, president BJP Mandal Drang Dalip Singh, DC Mandi Arindam Chaudhary, SP Mandi,  Shalini Agnihotri, chief engineer PWD Ajay Gupta, chief engineer Jal Shakti Dharmander Gill were also present on the occasion.
