The Minister said  the  main objective of  cancer prevention programme is to create awareness about  early detection of the symptoms  and risk factors of cancer.  He said the incidence of cancer is increasing phenomenally and early detection can save precious human lives.

He said the mobile unit would organise detection camps for screening of cancer among people in the villages.

Dr. Rajiv Saizal said  the government and NGOs need to make concerted efforts in the area of cancer care management.

Chief Executive Officer of GCCI Dr. Harvinder Singh Bakshi virtually joined the occasion, where as District CMO Dr. Surekha, Senior Doctors of Health Department, representatives of GCCI and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
