DEHRADUN: IN response to the recent heavy rains and landslides in Uttarakhand, rescue operations have been underway on the Kedarnath Yatra route.
Over 160 pilgrims were rescued by the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) from Gaurikund to Sonprayag today.
In addition, search operations are ongoing between Lincholi and Bhimbali.
The recent cloudburst at Bhim Bali caused significant damage, including a 25-meter stretch of the Kedarnath Yatra route.
Around 200 pilgrims have been relocated to safer areas as a precaution.
Overall, emergency teams have rescued nearly 1,000 people from various locations along the Kedarnath route.
The situation remains challenging due to the harsh weather conditions, but efforts are ongoing to ensure the safety of all pilgrims, saud SRDF chief Mishra.
