Apple Farmers heave a sigh of relief as Connectivity for Parala Mandi and Sainj improved...
Sainj(Shimla) – Travelers, apple farmers from Kottkhai and Theog side and from Balson, Chopal, and Nerwa, and pilgrims heading to Choorhdhar enjoy better connectivity now.
The PWD has concted the HPMC CAS unit with road giving an option to farmers to store their fruit in case they don't want to sell the apple at Parala Mandi.
The Public Works Department (PWD) nears completion of a 62-meter span steel composite bridge at Bajroli Pul on the Sainj-Chopal Road.
The old bridged was in bad shape and there was a need for a fresh alignment.
PWD has started the deck slab casting work for the bridge, signaling its readiness for traffic soon.
In addition, apple growers have lauded the efforts of the PWD as they are relieved as the Chaila Kenchi-Parala Mandi road has been freshly tarred.
This comes after the Sainj road was widened by the PWD in record time, ensuring smoother transportation.
PWD SDO Sainj Rajesh Banchta confirmed the improvements, stating, "The road has become smooth, and the bridge will be opened for traffic soon, significantly easing travel and transportation in the region."
The road is widened now and there is enough parking and crossing space for the big trucks and general traffic between Chaila Kenchi and Parala and Sainj, he said.
