SHIMLA: The city residents in the capital and and its peripheries experienced a big jolt and came out of their homes in panic around 1019 PM on Tuesday" . As per reports, Earthquake measures 6.6 magnitude on Richter scale.
In fact there were 3 jolts in all with first more intense and short.
Earthquake jolt was also felt in upper Shimla district and and other parts of Himachal Pradesh. MET office Shimla has yet to map the epicenter and its intensity as well.
The Earthquake jolts were also felt all across the region from Kargil and Leh to Jammu and Kashmir and Uttarakhand as the social media was flooded with the message of "jolts sharing".
Netizens prayed for safety of the people in the region.
The people came out in the open on the roads sharing their experience of a big short jolt of moderate intensity all across the capital city of Shimla.
They were scared of the big jolt that drove them away from their houses in intense cold.
According to the inputs epicenter of the earthquake was 8 km away from Pakistan that shook India, Pakistan and Afghanistan with its magnitude about 6.6 on Richter scale.
