SHIMLA- Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has urged Prime Minister and NITI Aayog to support the state government in making Himachal Pradesh most prosperous states.
He was attended a meeting in New Delhi with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other officials.
They discussed important topics like infrastructure, small businesses, women's empowerment, health, and skill development.
The Chief Minister raised some concerns specific to Himachal Pradesh. He asked the central government to return a large sum of money deposited by the state government for pensions.
He also requested financial support for important projects like railways and medical colleges.
The Chief Minister talked about the state's focus on green energy and tourism, and their plans to reduce pollution by replacing diesel buses with electric ones. He mentioned a World Bank project for the power sector and expressed a goal to create jobs and attract investments. The Chief Minister also shared details about a program for orphaned children in the state.
In the end, he asked for support from the central government and NITI Aayog to make Himachal Pradesh a developed and prosperous state. The Chief Secretary accompanied him to the meeting.
