SHIMLA:  Hatti community of Trans-Giri region of Sirmaur  has been granted tribal status after a 50-year-long struggle by the central BJP government.

Addressing the media persons, Mohinder Dharmani,  Baldev Tomar,  Karan Nanda here today  said BJP leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Minister Amit Shah, and BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda, expressed their gratitude for the decision. The Bill was passed in the Parliament today. 

The tireless efforts of Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur, Union Minister Anurag Thakur, and other MPs were also acknowledged.

This move ensures no harm to other caste classes due to reservation.

The BJP leaders Dharmani and Karan Nanda  accused   the Congress party of misleading the community with false promises and taking their votes during the 2022 Assembly Elections.
