SHIMLA - Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has announced plans to collaborate with Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi and IIT Ropar to introduce state-of-the-art technology in the government sector.
In a meeting held with Prof. Laxmidhar Behera, Director IIT Mandi, and Prof. Rajeev Ahuja, Director IIT Ropar, Sukhu highlighted the government's commitment to utilizing cutting-edge technologies like #artificialintelligence (AI) to maximize the benefits for the people of Himachal Pradesh.
Chief Minister also sought their suggestions for setting up a #semiconductor industry in Himachal.
He also talked about developing Palampur as an #IThub to boost technology sector in the state.
He said the initiative is expected to create numerous employment opportunities for the state's youth.
Present in the meeting were Gokul Butail, the Principal Advisor for IT & Innovations, Bharat Khera, the Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Gopal Sharma, the OSD to the Chief Minister, and Dr. Abhishek Jain, the Secretary of IT. Their presence demonstrates the government's dedication to promoting technological advancements and innovation in Himachal Pradesh.
