Shimla: In a significant development, the High Court of Himachal Pradesh has delivered a crucial verdict today on the matter related to the appointment of Chief Parliamentary Secretary (CPSs) in the state, which has posed a challenge to the Sukhu government.
The appointment in question was challenged by senior BJP leader and legislator Satpal Satti, who had filed a petition in the Himachal Pradesh High Court.
Speaking to the media about the verdict, Veer Bhadur Verma, a senior advocate, explained, "In the government's application for the decision, they had raised questions about the eligibility of the 12 affidavits submitted by the legislators. We have presented all 12 affidavits to the court."
He further emphasized that this case was not about irregularities but illegal appointment of CPSs that violated the Supreme Court judgment in such similar cases in other states.
