SHIMLA/SRINAGAR - In an ongoing visit to the forward areas and line of Control, General Manoj Pandey, Chief of the Army Staff interacted with deployed troops, commending them for their continuous vigilance and high morale and Josh.
The Indian Army has also been actively engaged in relief operations, rescuing and providing aid to those affected by floods in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and other parts of the nation.
General Pandey expressed his appreciation and urged the soldiers to maintain their unwavering enthusiasm in the forwards areas to ensure the sanctity of the Line of Control.
This visit comes shortly after General Pandey's meeting with Jammu and Kashmir's(UT) Lieutenant Governor, Mr. Manoj Sinha on July 13-14.
The discussions centered around security situations and development initiatives in the region, revealed the army spokesperson.
The significance of General Manoj Pandey's visit to the forward areas is also magnified by the victory of the Indian Army in the Kargil War in July 1999.
All ranks and army remembered Kargil War heroes- ParamVir Chakra awardees Capt Vikaam Batra, Sanjay Kumar and many others in this period.
Pakistani forces suffered heavy losses due to the integrated and coordinated efforts of all ranks of the Indian Army.
During the visit, General Pandey paid tribute to Subedar Kuldeep Singh, who made the supreme sacrifice during an operational patrol in Poonch in Jammu and Kashmir.
Earlier General Pandey inspected the military stations in Forward areas in Bikaner and other stations, reviewing the operational preparedness of the formation and praising the troops for their commitment. He encouraged them to continue with the same zeal and determination.
In response to the visit, social media platforms were flooded with comments about the uniforms worn by officers and soldiers. Many users demanded a uniform policy that ensures soldiers have similar attire, emphasizing that the fighting spirit and dedication of soldiers are what truly matters, regardless of their attire.
Sources reveal that General Pandey may also visit forward areas in the Ladakh sector, further strengthening the morale of troops stationed there.
