Though Chief Minister Dhami has yet to take a call on the demands of the protesting students, but he has urged the youth to maintain peace and do not fall into the hands of rumour mongers.
Uttarakhand police have taken into custody the president of the Sangh, Bobby Panwar and other activists after the violent clash in which many students were injured and public property was damaged.
The protesting youth have been demanding a CBI probe into the patwari recruitment scam that has brought a bad name for the Dani government.
The students’ leaders charged that the state government far from bringing the culprits to the book and giving employment to the unemployed lakhs of youth of Uttarakhand, have instead given them lathis and harsh brutal beating.
The members of the civil Society of Uttarakhand have urged the Dhami government to bring the agitating youth on the negotiating table and take remedial steps to avoid violence and maintain goodwill in the state.

They pelted stones and police resorted to lathicharge. “We appeal to the students to hold a peaceful protest and FIR will be lodged against them”, he warned.
But the students leaders trash IG's claims saying that the police force was being used to stun the agitated youth seeking a fair probe into the Job recruitment scam.
