SHIMLA: Public Works, Youth Services and Sports Minister Vikramaditya Singh said the funds would be managed from the Central Government under 'Khelo India Games' to develop modern sports infrastructure in Himachal.
He said this while participating as a special invitee in the 'Khelo India Games' event being organized at Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.
He interacted with the players of Himachal Pradesh participating in these games and encouraged them for better performance.
The Sports Minister also enquired about the steps taken to promote sports activities in Madhya Pradesh, besides inspecting sports infrastructure including boxing ring, shooting range and gym.
"The government is determined to provide better infrastructure and other modern facilities to the youth of Himachal Pradesh and to encourage them to give out their best performances at national and international level", said the Sports Minister.
"I would like to invite the officials from here to our state to share their expertise in the field of sports", said the Minister.
The state government was also devoted to enhancing the youth's talent by indulging them in various sports activities and providing better facilities and equipment to them, he said.
Director, Youth Services and Sports, Rajeev Sharma was also present on the occasion.
