The delegation of HPMOA was led by Chairman of the committee, Dr. Rajesh Sood and General Secretary Dr. Pushpendra Verma. They met Chief Minister and discussed the demands of the doctors for two hours. Chief Minister instructed the health official to fulfil the demands.
Chief Minister got to know about long working hours of the doctors and circumstances and assured the JAC that the recruitment will be done every year and efforts will be made to fill seats through the HPBSC.
Chief Minister directed the Finance Department that the notification of NPA should also be done as soon as possible for the doctors who are engaged on contract. The ceiling of highest salary is Rs 2,25,000 and it has been agreed to increase this ceiling to Rs 2,24,500 for doctors. The 20% non-practicing allowance will also be implemented from January 1, 2022 and NPAs will be treated as part of the basic, he assured the doctors.
On the notification for 4-9-14, the Chief Minister said that the process is on and will continue and its notification for the employees is going to be issued soon. Finance Secretary said that whenever the new pay commission starts, 4-9-14 has to be postponed and notified again. Therefore, it will be implemented as per the instructions of the Chief Minister, he added.
It was also agreed to increase the specialist allowance of doctors and also for academic allowance for doctors working in medical colleges.
The committee will be constituted. Health Secretary, Special Health Secretary and Joint Conflict Committee President, Dr Rajesh Sood, General Secretary Dr Pushpendra Verma, Dr Praveen Chauhan, Dr Vishal Jamwal, Dr Ghanshyam Verma, Director Health Services, Director Medical Education will be the members of this committee. The committee will give its detailed recommendations to the government within 8 weeks, said the JAC members.
JAC members said Chief Minister listened to their demands very carefully and found their immediate solution. The veterinary, dental, all medical Faculty and Resident Doctors Association showed show of strength. We called upon doctors that till then we are suspending this movement, they said.
