Shimla, May 21

The Himachal Pradesh High Court, led by Justice Ajay Mohan Goel, today reserved its judgment in the mysterious death case of Vimal Negi, Chief Engineer of Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd, whose body was found from Bhakra Dam on March 28 after  he had gone missing from his office on March 10.

This revelation has exposed a serious rift within the police department and raised questions over the credibility of the state’s investigation. It has strengthen the Family's stand for a CBI probe in the court.

The court has accepted both the DGP’s report and the Onkar Chand Sharma Committee findings into the official record.

Meanwhile, Kiran Negi, the deceased’s wife, continues to demand a CBI probe, arguing that only an impartial central agency can deliver justice and uncover the truth.

Senior Advocate of the faniky Bawa said, “It’s now up to the High Court to decide when to deliver the verdict, but we hope it comes soon.”

The spotlight is now on the judiciary, as the public and the family await justice in this chilling case of alleged cover-up and unanswered questions.
