Director Negi revealed that the courses were originally slated for January 11 but had to be postponed and eventually canceled due to the lack of snowfall.

This move aims to facilitate participants from across India and streamline the booking process for enhanced transparency and efficiency.
The current batch boasts a strength of over 80 participants, hailing from diverse backgrounds and spanning ages 10 to 35.
Negi proudly shared that since its establishment in 1961, the institute has trained over 2 lakh individuals in adventure and disaster-related disciplines.
Many of the state's youth actively engaged in the adventure tourism sector have benefitted from ABVIMAS courses, with numerous alumni achieving feats such as scaling Everest.
The institute, synonymous with producing accomplished mountaineers, including its current director, plans to conduct courses in key centers like Solang Valley, Jispa, Narkanda, and Bharmore until mid-March, contingent upon favorable conditions.
This season's ski courses promise to be an enriching experience for participants, continuing the legacy of adventure and skill development established by the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports.
