During the meeting, Anurag Singh Thakur put forth a series of requests to address the pressing issues arising from the natural disasters.

He specifically urged the construction of 2700 kilometers of roads as part of the Prime Minister's Rural Roads Scheme.

Additionally, he emphasized the need for the construction of 5000 houses for families affected by the floods, envisaged under the Prime Minister's Rural Housing Scheme.

Giriraj Singh promptly and positively responded to these demands, giving his approval for the proposed projects.

Anurag Thakur highlighted that the recent rains and floods had caused unprecedented damage to both human settlements and infrastructure.

Even areas that had not been previously prone to such destruction were significantly impacted.

Thakur mentioned the progress made in constructing houses and roads in Himachal Pradesh under various government schemes.

Over the past nine years, more than 15,000 houses have been built under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, providing shelter to numerous families.

Himachal has witnessed the completion of more than 21,000 kilometers of roads under the Pradhanmantri Gram Sadak Yojana, which has greatly improved connectivity.
