Shimla, October 31:
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Saturday felicitated IGP Bimal Gupta, IPS, for his leadership in strengthening Himachal Pradesh’s Anti-Chitta Campaign and mobilising public participation against drug abuse.
Gupta has spearheaded statewide awareness drives, walkathons and outreach programmes, bringing youth, civil society organisations and communities together against chitta and synthetic drugs.
DGP Ashok Tewari thanked the Chief Minister for his leadership and encouragement, while congratulating Gupta and the entire Himachal Police team for making the campaign a statewide people’s movement.
