Minister Singh, who participated as the chief guest in the school's annual prize distribution ceremony, acknowledged the significant role of late Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh in laying the foundation stone. He emphasized the importance of providing modern facilities to ensure an enriched learning environment for students.

Congratulating academic achievers, Singh highlighted the crucial role of such ceremonies in promoting overall development, including sports and cultural activities.

He disclosed a sanctioned amount of Rs. 170 crore for the development of Shimla Rural Assembly constituency, covering road construction, water, electricity, sewerage facilities, and overall panchayat area development.

Underlining ongoing projects, Singh mentioned the Rs 14 crore allocated for the expansion and paving of link roads, along with a Rs 2 crore drinking water scheme for Chanavag and Nehra Panchayats nearing completion. He pledged Rs 21 thousand as an incentive for cultural performers and awarded students excelling in academics and sports.

The school principal, Baldev Sharma, outlined the previous year's activities in the annual report and presented specific demands. Singh assured phased fulfillment of demands from the school management and local Panchayat.

The event was attended by SDM Shimla Rural Kavita Thakur, BCC President Basantpur Karm Chand, Block Congress President Gopal Sharma, and various other officials and local representatives, along with a large gathering of school children and parents.
