SJVN Reviews Progress of 5,097 MW Hydropower Projects in Arunachal Pradesh's Dibang Valley. It seeks early clearances for projects.
Itanagar: Sh. Sushil Sharma, the Chairman & Managing Director of SJVN, recently met with Arunachal Pradesh's Chief Minister, Sh. Pema Khandu, to discuss the progress of major hydropower projects in the state.
Joining him were Sh. Akhileshwar Singh, Director of Finance & Personnel, Sh. Ajay Sharma, OSD to CMD, and Sh. Rakesh Sehgal, Head of the Etalin Hydropower Project (HEP).
The meeting revolved around the state's hydro power sector, with SJVN being a key player, having been allotted five massive projects in Arunachal Pradesh's Dibang Valley.
These projects, with a combined capacity of 5,097 MW, are crucial for the state's energy ambitions.
Sharma briefed the Chief Minister on the current status of these projects and highlighted the need for speedy clearances to keep things on track.
With an estimated investment of around Rs. 60,000 crore, the timely execution of these projects is expected to bring significant benefits to all stakeholders involved.
Chief Minister Khandu assured his full support to ensure that the necessary clearances are granted promptly, paving the way for the swift development of these hydropower projects.
