Shimla/New Delhi: The second phase of the 'Clean Water, Clean Mind' project, part of Project Amrit, is set to kick off on Sunday, February 25, 2024, at 08:00 am.
Led by Satguru Mata Sudiksha Ji Maharaj and Nirankari Rajpita Ramit, the event will take place at Yamuna Chhath Ghat, I.T.O., in Delhi, aiming to safeguard water bodies and promote awareness about water conservation.
Joginder Sukhija, Secretary and Social Welfare In-charge of Sant Nirankari Mandal, shared that the initiative, inspired by the motto of 'Clean Water, Clean Mind,' will be executed in 900 cities across India, spanning over 1500 locations in 27 states and Union Territories.
The primary goal is to raise awareness among the public about preserving water bodies to ensure a healthier future for generations to come.
Building on the teachings of Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj, Project Amrit was initiated in 2023 in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, as part of the cleanliness campaign by Sant Nirankari Mission. The project focuses on conserving and cleaning water bodies such as beaches, rivers, lakes, ponds, and springs across India, with successful outcomes appreciated by society at large.
In Delhi, the campaign extends with the theme 'Aao Sawareen, Yamuna Kinare,' involving Nirankari Mission's youth visiting colleges, including Delhi University, Indraprastha University, and JNU, to spread awareness through songs, seminars, and social media platforms.
Under the Amrit Project, various sites in Delhi, including Sanjay Lake, Yamuna's Chhat Ghat, Nigam Bodh Ghat, Bhalswa Lake, and Kalindi Kunj Ghat, will undergo cleaning efforts. Additionally, volunteers will clean areas like Brajghat, Garhmukteshwar Ganga, and Surajpur in Ghaziabad, among others, showcasing enthusiasm for environmental preservation.
The Sant Nirankari Mission continues its active involvement in social and welfare activities, including tree plantation drives, blood donation camps, and cleanliness campaigns.
With the aim of beautifying and protecting the environment, these initiatives contribute to a cleaner and more beautiful Earth.
Under the auspices of Satguru Mata Sudiksha Ji Maharaj's blessings, the Baba Gurbachan Singh Memorial 24th Cricket Tournament will commence on Sunday, February 25, 2024, at Sant Nirankari spiritual place Samalkha. Participants from various states will showcase unity, discipline, and tolerance, promoting the Mission's divine message.
