Kaza, August 3, 2024 – A cloudburst struck Sangnam village in Kaza subdivision yesterday around 5 PM, affecting the areas of Mahal Ka, Fukchung, Sagnam Tackpo, and Sagnam village.
The sudden flood buried a vehicle and swept away a woman, whose whereabouts are currently unknown.
In response, a swift rescue operation was launched by the police team from Kaza Police Station, along with the ITBP 17th Battalion and an ambulance during the night hours.
Relief and rescue efforts are actively ongoing in the affected areas.
SP Lahaul-Spiti advised public to stay safe and take necessary precautions during this adverse weather."
