ROHRU/SHIMLA- Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu at Rohru announced surveys for the construction of tunnels to connect Kotkhai-Hatkoti and Kwar with Uttarakhand that will provide connectivity to locals.
The Chief Minister also mentioned the opening of an Adarsh Health Institute in Rohru.
He said the government's commitment to ending the exploitation of apple orchardists and allocating funds for Cold Atmosphere stores and better prices for second grade apples.
The Chief Minister highlighted the fulfillment of the promise to provide the Old Pension Scheme to government employees and demanded a 30 percent share from the Central Government in hydro power projects. Notification to that effect was issued today.
He mentioned the Sukh-Ashray Yojana for orphan children and financial assistance for widows and single women to construct houses.
The Chief Minister emphasized the state's efforts to become a Green Energy State and promote electric vehicles through subsidies.
The government's focus on financial discipline and development was also emphasized.
Education Minister Rohit Thakur praised the Chief Minister's governance approach.
Chief Parliamentary Secretary Mohan Lal Brakta acknowledged the positive decisions made despite inheriting a huge loan from previous BJP regime.
Health Minister Dr. (Col.) Dhani Ram Shandil and other officials were also present at the event.
