SHIMLA - The Integrated Mountain Initiative (IMI), a civil society leadership team, recently had a meeting with Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Shri Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu here. They agreed to thrash out a road map of "some mutually agreed key areas and "green issues", espousing CM's "Green Himachal Mission-2026".
During the meeting, the Chief Minister patiently listened to the IMI team and shared his views on the subject.
It was revealed that there are overlaps in policy areas of the state, as well as concerns related to climate change, which were discussed at length.
The team also delved into matters concerning the Finance Commission, and the Chief Minister agreed on the importance of collaborative efforts to reach a logical conclusion.
An IMI spokesperson stated that the meeting served as an introduction to the Chief Minister and provided an opportunity to present the IMI's objectives accurately.
The work of IMI's 15th Finance Commission was well received and found resonance with the Chief Minister.
In response to the meeting, the Chief Minister requested that IMI prepare a clear roadmap for collaboration with the State Government. This indicates a willingness to work together on important issues.
The meeting signifies a positive step towards effective communication and cooperation between the IMI and the state government, aiming to address critical matters concerning Himachal Pradesh's development and environmental sustainability.
