Shimla: Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla honored 42 exceptional students from Bharat Scouts and Guides, Rangers, and Rovers during a ceremony at Rajbhawan.

He also recognized 222 State-level award winners. As the patron of Bharat Scouts and Guides in Himachal Pradesh, he expressed gratitude to the organization's volunteers and praised their work in society.

Scouting, a century-old ideology, aims to uplift society and build strong personalities. It boasts a global presence with millions of volunteers engaged in selfless service and social causes.

The organization is committed to eliminating discrimination and promoting equal opportunities.

Governor Shukla encouraged youth to actively combat drug abuse through the 'Nishchaya Project.' He commended the scouts for their efforts in raising awareness.

A new campaign in collaboration with the state government was announced to combat drug abuse at the village and Panchayat levels, involving public representatives and the general public.

The State Police received praise for their anti-drug efforts and awareness campaigns. The event included a colorful cultural program and updates on Bharat Scouts and Guides' year-round activities.
