PM ModiAt Kargil War Memorial in Kargil

Kargil/Shimla: Prime Minister Narendra Modi joined the nation  paying tributes to the brave hearts at the Kargil War Memorial on the 25th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas, honoring the heroes who fought against Pakistan intruders.

"The sacrifices made for the nation and the courage shown in defending the country are unforgettable," said PM Modi.

They are remembered forever  as they sacrificed their life for protecting sovereignty and integrity of nation, he added. 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi commemorated the 25th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas by paying tribute to the fallen soldiers at the Kargil War Memorial in Drass, Ladakh.

He emphasized the nation's unwavering respect for the sacrifices made during the Kargil War, stating, "The valor and supreme sacrifice of our soldiers in Kargil will always inspire generations. Their bravery safeguarded our nation's sovereignty and integrity."

The Chief of the Army Staff, General Upendra Dwivedi, also remembered the Kargil Martyrs for their extraordinary courage. Additionally, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu highlighted the sacrifices of 52 brave soldiers from the state, praising their heroic actions during the war.

Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu expressed profound respect and gratitude  and heartfelt thanks to the Kargil Martyrs on behalf of the people of the State, acknowledging their bravery in facing harsh and lifeless mountains and cold deserts during the 1999 Kargil War.

The Chief Minister paid homage to the courage and dedication of the Indian armed forces, highlighting the sacrifices made by 52 brave hearts from Himachal Pradesh.
