SHIMLA: Prime Minister Narendra Modi here on Tuesday said the “problems which were considered Permanent” earlier, today we are trying to provide a “Permanent solution to them”.
There is no family in country where the schemes of this government has not reached, Modi said. “It is the same system, but our government has made this system more sensitive to the Garib by making consistent reforms”.
Modi said this while addressing Garib Kalyan Sammelan from the historic The Ridge in Shimla today on completion of eight years of NDA rule at Centre.
Modi got a rousing applause from rally crowd on The Ridge as he arrived here and came on stage enchanting Bharat Mata Ki Jai.
Prime Minister further said Bharat today has become world’s fastest growing economy- It is getting record global investment and doing record export business.
Buland Bharat of 21st Century
Modi said for 21st century “Buland Bharat”, for the bright future of coming generation, they need to work together. It will be a Bharat that is recognized for its “Modernity” not “Scarcity”. He urged citizens to strive for the bright future of this New Bharat.
Keeping Opposition at bay, Modi said he was not working for making vote-bank, but for making New Bharat. “We have taken up the task of delivering cent per cent benefit to the cent per cent beneficiaries- we have vowed to saturate beneficiaries”, he said.
Modi said Bharat today does not seek Dosti (Friendship) on compulsion for help, but it extends its helping hand to others. Bharat talks to nations with an eye-to- eye contact.
“We helped over 150 countries in Corona period and gave them medicine and other help. In this, Baddi Pharma hub of Himachal also did its great bit, he added.
Counting achievements of his 8 years in office at the Centre, Modi said the results that he has got during the efforts of 8 years of office has instilled in him full confidence. No dream is impossible for citizens of the country, Modi asserted.
Prime Minister said be it PM Awas Yojana, Scholarship Scheme for students, Pension and other schemes, they have delivered a transparent governance by using digital technology that has decreased scope for corruption in the government system.
Sarkar is Sevak of Janata Janardhan, Not My Baap
Taking a dig at his previous Congress-led UPA regime, Modi said the government has now changed its definition. “The government today means Sevak of Janata Janardan, not My Baap as it used to be in Pre-2014 era”, he remarked.
He said that for the last 8 years India has progressed in all sectors. The World has now recognised Barat as a nation where the poor are coming out from poverty and facilities for the common citizen have increased, Modi said.
Parvat Mala and Vibrant Border Villages will Ring in Prosperity
Talking about the schemes for Himalayan states and his "Vocal for Local initiative", Prime Minister said the schemes like Parvat Mala using multi-model connectivity, Vibrant Border Villagers are set to change the face of the mountains, linking border villages to mainstream.
It will increase the tourism potential and increase sources of livelihoods of remote villagers, he added. Miniature paintings of Kangra, metal work of Chamba and pulas of Kullu and other products are favourite among tourists and Pulas of Kullu have reached Kashi Vishwanath where pujaris wear them in winter, he said.
He said India has become 3rd largest in the world in start-ups. In each week thousands of young entrepreneurs are launching the companies worth crores of rupees, he said.
New infrastructure and His Sankalp
Prime Minister said he reaffirmed a Sankalp he had made from Dev Bhoomi saying that he has devoted his life for the nation where each citizen feels secure, experiences samridhi and an ease of living.
There was a time in the pre-2014 era when India used to make headlines on corruptions, scams, charges of nepotism. Today Bharat is making headlines for becoming record exporter, surgical strike and startups and development initiatives.
Modi said the country has now a critical health care infrastructure- AIIMS like one in Bilaspur- that has brought this care at the doorstep of people in Himachal, where they need not to go to Chandigarh or Delhi for critical care. The government is now starting Medical College in each district of the country, he said.
He said that the poor children also have access to medical and technical profession. “The government has started medical and engineering in mother tongue that will go a long way in making poor children doctors and engineers”.
The drone- driven services have increased the scope of development in the country that intends to make various services accessible to all by the year 2047 when India will celebrate its 100 years of independence.
Rs 21000 Crore Transferred into to bank Accounts of 15 Crore Farmers
Before his address to nation, Prime Minster clicked a button and transferred the 11th instalment of Rs 21000 crore directly into the bank accounts of 15 Crore farmers across the nation under PM Kisan Samaan Nidhi yojna. So far over Rs 2 lakh crores have been transferred under this scheme to farmers.
Modi also interacted virtually with different beneficiaries of 16 flagship schemes ranging from Tashi of Ladakh to Shyama Devi of Sirmaur who was live at Ridge, Pankaj of Tripura, Santoshi of Karnataka and others and got to know how these schemes benefited them.

Modi was Gifted a Painting Sketch of His Mother by Local girl painter on The Mall
Modi marched on The Mall with Jai Ram Thakur under PM’s entourage of Z plus security commandos. He stopped suddenly and interacted with a girl painter standing in the crowd there, who gave him a sketch of painting of his mother.
Modi appreciated the painting and asked girl her name and as to where did she live, how much time it took her to make this painting. She said she lives in Shimla and it took her a day to make this.
She also told Prime Minister that she had also made a sketch of painting of him and would reach him through official channel.
Targeted impact of the Garib Kalyan Sammelan was understandable ahead of the state assembly elections.
