Shimla: Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukkhu inaugurated the Jawahar Lal Nehru Lalit Kala Rajkiya Mahavidyalaya building in Lahubarb in ShimlaRural, constructed at a cost of ₹15.43 crore, along with laying the foundation stone for the Khand Vikas Karyalay building in Tuttu, costing ₹5 crore.
The event witnessed announcements including the introduction of new courses, development of smart classrooms, and a grant of ₹20 lakh for sports facilities at the Lalit Kala Mahavidyalaya.
The CM emphasized on the state government's commitment to enhancing education quality and announced the initiation of annual ranking and performance-based funding for educational institutions.
Additionally, measures for strengthening rural development, equal growth, and an increase in MNREGA workers' wages to ₹300 were highlighted.
PWD Minister Vikramaditya Singh and Panchayati Raj Minister Anirudh Singh and Various dignitaries including local leaders and government officials graced the occasion.
