SJVN Holds 36th Annual General Meeting
Shimla: SJVN Ltd. conducted its 36th Annual General Meeting, where CMD Sushil Sharma outlined the company’s strong performance despite climate challenges. Key highlights for FY 2023-24 include:
- Power generation of 8489 MUs from hydro, solar, and wind projects.
- Record daily generation of 39.570 MU by NJHPS (1500 MW) and 10.971 MU by Rampur HPS (412 MW) in July 2023.
- Highest monthly generation of 1590.072 MU in August 2023.
Financially, SJVN earned standalone revenue of Rs 2533.59 crore, with a PAT of Rs 908.40 crore.
The company paid a Rs 1.80 per share dividend and saw a 426% stock surge, with market capitalization reaching Rs 67,000 crores by February 2024.
SJVN commissioned new projects, including solar plants in Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat and India's first Green Hydrogen Pilot Project. Its portfolio now stands at 56,802 MW across 89 projects.
SJVN also became a Renewable Energy Implementing Agency and secured tenders for a cumulative capacity of 17.1 GW.
The company’s future plans include expanding its capacity to 25,000 MW by 2030 and 50,000 MW by 2040.
