Chandigarh: Chief Minister of Punjab Bhagwant Mann today said the state government has given jobs to over 37 100 jobs to the youth of Punjab in brief period of 16 months.
He handed over appointment letters to three hundred and four youth in home, transport and revenue departments today at function in the state.
Addressing the gathering, Mann said he continued to fulfil job guarantee to youth of the state by providing 37,100 jobs to them in merely in one to half year.
He said he welcomed the newly inducted youth in the member of the family of the state government today on Jayanti of Maharaja Aggrasen.
He remembered renowned Indian scientist and former President Dr APJ Kalam, who is knows as Missiles Man of India, He paid tributes to the former president on his birth anniversary.
Mann also announced Rs 1 crore compensation to the family of Martyr Amritpal Singh who died and sacrificed his life in the service of the nation yesterday.
Chief Minister said that the centre may adopt any policy towards Marty youth but his government has committed to honour families of such sons of soil.
