Monsoon Bliss Awaits Tourists in  Serene Hills of Himachal.

SHIMLA/MANALI: The monsoon season in Himachal Pradesh is painting a lush green landscape with gurgling streams and a dust-free atmosphere, making it the perfect time for tourists and backpackers to visit Shimla, Kinnaur, Manali, Dalhousie, Lahaul-Spiti, and Pangi.

With hotel rooms offering generous discounts, visitors are greeted by the serene beauty of the hills, far removed from the crowds of the peak summer months.

There are homestays in places like Kotgarh, Theog Baghi and Ratnari offering solitude of the hills.

From July to September, tourists seeking peace and solace will find the hills to be a paradise.

The Mall, The Ridge, Kufri, Narkanda, Kotgarh, Baghi, Jubbal, Kuparh, Giriganga, Sarain, Choorhdhar, Rohru, and Chanshal all promise surreal experiences amidst the fanciful greenery.

Private hotels and HPTDC accommodations are offering attractive rebates, as occupancy in Shimla and Manali has hit rock bottom.

Sanjay Thakur, a hotel magnate in Shimla, warmly invites tourists to escape the sticky, humid heat of megacities across India. "No milling crowds, no hassles, no traffic jams, and no pollution—just a hundred days of solitude in Himachal," he said.

Despite recent heavy rains, tourism in Himachal remains accessible.

A spokesperson for the Tourism and Civil Aviation department clarified that reports of widespread road blockages due to landslides are exaggerated. While some roads are affected, the majority remain open and accessible.

Tourism is crucial for Himachal Pradesh, and the state government is committed to ensuring visitors travel safely and enjoy their holidays.

The Public Works Department is working diligently to clear any blockages and restore travel routes promptly.

Top Tourist destinations like Shimla, Manali, Dharamshala, Dalhousie, Kinnaur, and Lahaul-Spiti continue to welcome visitors.

Tourists are encouraged to check for updates on specific routes and travel with confidence, staying informed through district administration helplines, police department contacts, and social media updates.

For bikers and backpackers, the journey from Manali to Lahaul-Spiti to Serchu and Leh is a merry adventure, even as hotels in Shimla and Manali wear a deserted look.

The hills of Himachal, far from the maddening crowds of peak summer, remain a year-round destination, now offering a tranquil retreat during the loveliest season of all.
