Dehradun Trash problem on roadside

Dehradun: In a bid to tackle the pressing developmental issues facing Uttarakhand, the SDC  Foundation unveiled its new online platform, the Uttarakhand Development Network (UDN).

This innovative initiative aims to bring together stakeholders and citizens alike to address the challenges including rampant littering and traffic mess   natural disasters plaguing the state, particularly in Dehradun and other towns.

The Dehradun municipality its smart city  authorities and  Uttarakhand  government remain at best apathetic towards the trash and traffic mess. They  need more sensitivity towards these issues to tackle these problems to  make Uttarakhand Green and clean at  a faster pace. 

The launch of UDN marks a significant milestone in the efforts to improve the quality of life for residents and enhance the appeal of Uttarakhand as a tourist destination.

Through its comprehensive approach, UDN will serve as a repository of credible knowledge resources, facilitate networking among various stakeholders, and provide career opportunities in the development sector.

"UDN is not just a website; it's a catalyst for change," remarked Anoop Nautiyal who among others were key players  to launch UDN.

"By fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing, we hope to inspire action and drive positive outcomes for Uttarakhand, he said. 

The platform will spotlight key issues such as environmental conservation, infrastructure development, and tourism management, with the aim of compelling authorities to take remedial actions.

Through compelling stories, field engagements, and outreach activities, UDN seeks to engage the public and policymakers alike, urging them to prioritize the well-being of Uttarakhand's citizens and visitors.

"We envision UDN as a powerful tool for advocacy and action," added the spokesperson. "Through constructive dialogue and partnerships, we believe we can make Dehradun and other towns in Uttarakhand more livable, breathable, and enjoyable for all."

Citizens and stakeholders are encouraged to explore the new website and provide feedback.

Additionally, the SDC Foundation extends an invitation to join or partner with them in their mission to drive positive change in Uttarakhand.
