He opened the Community Relief Centre at Rahkhot Thunag and launched a clutch of digital initiatives, including the MyDeed Portal, the Naksha Scheme, the digitally signed Jamabandi module and Bhunaksha 5.0. He also unveiled the new Gramin Bank logo and inaugurated the girls’ basketball hostel at Rabindranath Tagore Government College, Sarkaghat.
The CM transferred ₹50.63 lakh directly to 401 farmers under the Rajiv Gandhi Prakritik Kheti Khushal Kisan Yojana. Special relief worth ₹51.12 crore was disbursed to disaster-hit families in Chamba, Hamirpur, Kangra, Lahaul-Spiti, Sirmaur, Solan and Una.
He handed symbolic e-taxi keys to 25 beneficiaries under the Rajiv Gandhi Swarozgar Start-up scheme, and air tickets and visas to 21 youths selected for overseas jobs. Support was also extended under Mukhyamantri Sukh-Ashray Yojana and Mukhyamantri Shagun Yojana.
Under the Mukhyamantri Carp Matsyapalan Yojana, 10 beneficiaries from Kangra, Mandi, Hamirpur and Una received ₹10.38 lakh. Beekeepers in Mandi were given ₹1.76 lakh under the Mukhyamantri Madhu Mandav Vikas Yojana, along with assistance under the Himachal Pushp Kranti Yojana. Five residents of Kinnaur received ownership certificates for traditional forest land under the Forest Rights Act.
Digital education got a push as the CM distributed e-₹ vouchers to meritorious students under the Srinivasa Ramanujan Students Digital Scheme. The vouchers allow students to buy laptops, tablets or smartphones of their choice. So far, 8,450 Class 10 and 12 toppers and 900 final-year undergraduate students have benefited.
Sukhu said the initiative underlined the government’s resolve to expand access to modern education and online learning tools.
