 According to the revised estimates, the total revenue receipts for 2023-24 stood at ₹46,00,00,000, with a revenue income of ₹45,900 Crore. 

The revenue deficit was estimated to be ₹5400, said CM in his budget speech. 

Looking ahead to the fiscal year 2024-25, the government estimated total revenue of ₹58,400 Crore, with revenue income projected at ₹42,153 crore and total revenue at ₹40,600 crore.

The state component of the budget was set at ₹84,00,00,000, representing the gross domestic product (GDP) of the state.

He said for  every ₹100, the government spends  ₹25 on salary on pension Rs 17 and  ₹11 on interest, and ₹10 for health institutions. The remaining funds will be allocated to various other activities.

In a statement following the Budget presentation, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhu highlighted the government's focus on fiscal prudence and strategic resource allocation.

He stated, "The budget reflects our commitment to responsible financial management and targeted investment in key sectors." Sukhu emphasized the importance of the budget's provisions in supporting the state's economic growth and addressing critical needs, particularly in areas such as healthcare and infrastructure.

The Chief Minister expressed confidence that the budgetary allocations would pave the way for sustained development and prosperity in Himachal Pradesh.
