According to the police, the injured 14 workers. all of them women  were rushed to the Una hospital for treatment. There were about  30 workers working in the firecracker  factory when the blast took place. Most of the victims and other workers hailed from Uttar Pradesh and bodies were being identified, the police said. 

The local residents rushed to the blast site and took  the injured to the Una hospital. They charged that the factory was being run without permission.

The police officials on the spot told media that the teams  have been dispatched to apprehend the owner of the factory. So far the factory manager could not produce any documents and the police was verifying from the industries department about its license and investigation was on, the said the police.

SP Una Arjit Sen told the media that  the police have collected all the material  from the site of the blast and investigation is on.

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has expressed grief over the fire incident in a firecracker factory at Bathu Tahliwal in Haroli Sub Division of Una district today that left six dead and 14 injured.

Chief Minister directed the district administration to immediately provide relief and rehabilitation to affected persons and take stern action against the guilty as per law.

Jai Ram Thakur announced rupees four lakh each to the next kin of the deceased of this mishap and a special messenger has been sent for PGI Chandigarh to provide Rs. 15,000 each to 11 other seriously injured in the tragic incident. Similarly Rs. 5,000 each has been provided to three persons admitted in Una hospital.  
Chief Minister also ordered Divisional Commissioner inquiry into the incident and asked to submit its report within a week.  He said that an inquiry would also be conducted regarding renting out the land for this illegal cracker factory.

Jai Ram Thakur prayed the Almighty to give peace to the departed souls and strength to the bereaved families to bear the irreparable loss.

Leader of the Opposition Mukesh Agnihotri who represents Haroli constituency expressed his shock over the incident and demanded proper compensation for the victims and probe into the blast.

Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting and Sports and Youth Program Anurag Singh Thakur and BJP State President Suresh Kashyap have also expressed grief over the fire factory  accident and prayed speedy recovery of the injured and  they condoled the demise of six victims in the accident.

Vice Chairman HPSIDC Prof. Ram Kumar, Deputy Commissioner Una  Raghav Sharma and other district officers have reached the incident site and supervised the relief and rescue operations.
