State-run power major SJVN Limited reported its best-ever operational and financial performance in FY 2024–25, with record electricity generation and robust revenue growth.
At the company’s 37th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Thursday, Chairman and Managing Director Bhupender Gupta said SJVN achieved its highest-ever generation of 10,647 million units (MU) from all projects.
The 1,500 MW Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station alone set multiple records, including its highest-ever quarterly, monthly and single-day outputs.
Rampur Hydro and Naitwar Mori projects also delivered record performance, with the latter surpassing its design energy in its first year of operation.
On the financial front, revenue from operations rose to ₹2,897.25 crore, up ₹364 crore from last year, while profit after tax climbed to ₹970.18 crore.
The board recommended a final dividend of ₹0.31 per share, taking the total dividend for FY 2024–25 to ₹1.46 per share.
The company also achieved its best-ever receivables cycle of just 15 days, reflecting strong financial discipline.
The year also saw SJVN attain the coveted Navratna status in August 2024. Capacity addition of 691 MW took the firm’s portfolio to 2,967.52 MW across 12 projects.
Notably, the first 660 MW unit of the Buxar Thermal Power Project was synchronized with the national grid and inaugurated by the Prime Minister in August 2025.
SJVN spent ₹31.24 crore on CSR initiatives in health, education, livelihoods and community infrastructure.
For FY 2025–26, the company has set ambitious targets of 13,090 MU generation and ₹12,000 crore capex.
Gupta credited the company’s success to government support, stakeholder trust and the dedication of employees, reaffirming SJVN’s commitment to sustainable growth and India’s clean energy transition.
