Shimla: Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said the government is set to expand social security and education support.
This expansion includes adding 40,000 beneficiaries to the social security pension scheme.
At a function here Chief Minister accompanied by Shimla MLA Harish Janartha said the "Mukhya Mantri Sukh-Shiksha Yojana," aims to assist in the education of widows' children until they reach 27 years of age.
Eligible children will receive Rs. 1,000 per month until they turn 18. Additionally, Rs. 41 crore will be allocated for women's health insurance.
Financial aid will also be provided to widows for housing and essentials. Furthermore, a Centre of Excellence for Disabilities Education will be established, and financial support will be extended to disabled individuals for housing.
