Shimla: PWD Minister and Youth Services, and Sports, Minister Vikramaditya Singh, conducted a comprehensive review of facilities at the Basantpur Old Age Home in Tehsil Sunni today.
During his visit, the minister distributed warm shawls to the elderly residents and ensured the availability of provisions for a delightful Preiti Bhoj.
He also took stock of the amenities provided to the senior citizens in the institution, directing officials to enhance the living conditions for those residing there.
Minister Singh announced plans to install air conditioning units with blowers in all rooms of the Ashram before the onset of the upcoming winter and summer seasons.
This initiative aims to create a more comfortable and pleasant living environment for the elderly residents.
Highlighting the commitment of the state government to provide top-notch facilities for the underprivileged, Singh mentioned the management of solar geysers at the Ashram, with specific instructions for the repair of a damaged panel.
Local officials, including Mandal Adhyaksha Gopal Sharma, Nagar Panchayat President Pradeep Sharma, Tehsildar Sunni Sunil Chauhan, Block Development Officer Sparsh Sharma, and Tehsil Welfare Officer Rakesh Kumar, were present during the minister's visit.
