Breaking News: NEET PG 2024 Exam Rescheduled Amidst Major Reforms and Investigations

NEW DELHI: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences(NBEMS)  has rescheduled the NEET PG 2024 exam to August 11, with the exam to be held in two shifts.

This decision comes after the discovery of significant irregularities in the previous NEET 2024 (UG)exams, now under investigation by the CBI.

 NEET PG 2024 will now be on August 11, 2024, with sessions in the morning and afternoon in two shifts.

The cutoff date for the eligibility for NEET PG   will continue to be August 15.

But uncertainty still Looms over NEET UG 2024 even as PM had given assurance in parliament early this week to the students that nobody would allowed to play with the careers of youth of tge nation 

Scandal: The CBI is probing the NEET 2024 (UG)scam involving fraudulent activities and exam malpractices. Allegations include the use of cheating rings and compromised centers, affecting the fairness of the exam.

3. High-Level Committee:  In response, the Ministry of Education has formed a high-level committee to overhaul the NTA's examination procedures, aiming to prevent future malpractices and ensure transparent conduct .

Legislative Action: The government is enacting the “Fair Examination Act” to strengthen the integrity and security of national exams, addressing loopholes that allowed previous scams.

5. Public Outcry: Students and parents have voiced strong criticisms against NTA, accusing it of risking the futures of thousands of aspiring medical professionals due to the lack of secure and fair exam conditions .

Assurance Measures: The NTA is implementing new security measures and protocols to ensure a fair and transparent examination process moving forward.
