SHIMLA: IN a commendable act of humanitarianism, the Lions Club of Shimla organized its second 'Food for Hunger' project at Kamla Nehru Hospital on September 29.
The initiative, led by Lions Club President Lion Man Mohan Verma, aimed to address food poverty and ensure that all community members, including patients, attendants, and the general public, have access to nutritious meals.
From 12 pm onwards, a special nutritious diet was provided to hospital patients and their attendants, while the general public was served a variety of wholesome meals. In total, over 380 individuals benefitted from the event.
President Lion Man Mohan Verma, along with Project Chairperson Lion C.L. Sankhayan, Secretary Lion M.K. Sharma, Vice President Lion Gopal Vaid, and other Lions Club members including Lion P.S. Panwar, Lion D.K. Chauhan, Lion S.L. Sharma, Lion Vimal Sood, and Lion Daleep Kumar, actively participated in the initiative, embodying the Lions’ spirit of service.
The event was a testament to the club’s ongoing efforts to alleviate hunger and serve the community, showing that small gestures can make a big difference in the lives of those in need.
