Vikramaditya Singh Challenges PM Modi to Reveal Disaster Aid Figures...He and BJP must See what Congress Has done in Mandi...

MANDI:  Mandi parliamentary constituency's Congress candidate and Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh has thrown down the gauntlet to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, demanding he disclose exactly how much financial aid was given to the state during the recent disaster. Singh accused the PM of misleading the people of the state in his Mandi speech by claiming substantial monetary assistance was provided.

"Prime Minister Modi needs to come clean with the numbers," Singh asserted.

"He boasted about giving crores to the state, but the reality is starkly different.

The disaster inflicted damages exceeding ₹12,000 crore, yet the central government only released a paltry ₹300 crore through NDRF and SDRF.

This is standard aid given annually to all states for such natural calamities, not some special grant," he pointed out.

Singh didn't hold back, criticizing the PM for his lack of empathy. "Modi made time for election visits but didn't bother to check on us during the disaster. Neither did he visit to see the devastation nor did he offer any condolences," Singh remarked.

The Congress leader also highlighted the efforts of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu.

"Despite limited resources, our government set up a ₹4,500 crore disaster relief fund and provided extensive help to the affected people.

On the other hand, the BJP neither helped the people during the disaster nor supported the government," he said.

Speaking at election rallies in Machhyan, Chauntra, and Ladbharol in the Joginder Nagar assembly constituency, Singh emphasized his vision for substantial development in Mandi.

"I'm asking for votes based on a solid development plan, while the BJP candidate is merely entertaining people with irrelevant talk.

Politics is not a part-time job; it requires constant engagement and service to the people," he stated.

Singh didn't mince words about his opponent, predicting her return to Mumbai post-election.

"It's up to the people of Mandi to decide the kind of MP they want. The BJP candidate will pack up and return to Mumbai on June 4.

Even BJP leaders are quietly admitting they're waiting for this 'trouble' to leave," he quipped.

He also took a jab at the BJP candidate's blindness to development works. "They fail to see the IIT, medical college, and the Kiratpur-Kullu four-lane project—all results of Congress government efforts.

Making Mandi a smart city and opening a medical and nursing college in Kullu are on my priority list. We will also build an indoor stadium in Joginder Nagar," Singh declared.

Urging people to vote overwhelmingly for him, Singh promised, "Once elected, I will vigorously champion the development projects for Mandi and the state."
