The Atal Tunnel Rohtang, a popular attraction renowned as the world's longest tunnel at an elevation of 10,000 feet, witnessed a remarkable influx of over 65,000 tourists during the recent festivities, highlighting the growing popularity of Himachal Pradesh as a preferred tourist destination.
The primary objective of the TTPSs is to ensure the smooth and safe movement of traffic along the Kiratpur-Manali National Highway, which traverses through the districts of Bilaspur, Mandi, and Kullu.
Equipped with trained personnel and modern facilities, these stations will be instrumental in handling traffic congestion, conducting investigations, and providing timely assistance during road accidents.
Deputy Inspector General of Traffic Tourist and Railway, expressed gratitude to the government for its proactive approach in establishing these dedicated police stations.

Furthermore, the TTPSs will collaborate with relevant authorities to address immigration issues, regulate tourist guides and agencies, and facilitate foreign currency exchange services. They will also play a key role in registering and investigating road traffic accidents along the Kiratpur-Manali National Highway, ensuring prompt action and support to victims.
