Addressing the gathering on the occasion Dr Madhri said women think and are more about their rights aware today, but they get busy in carrying out dual responsibilities on normal days.
“Even today, the exploited women of different classes need help, they should be given respect throughout so that this ceremony is not confined to one day”, said Dr Madhuri, who is the wife of Managing Director HPSEBL Er. Pankaj Dadwal.
Pankaj Dadwal welcomed the participants and said there are two women in this board family as directors, which is a matter of pride for women and a source of inspiration for all women. Doctor's profession increases the responsibilities in the society even more, he added. Dadwal said women have played an important role in both the workplace and home. He appreciated the double work done by working women adding that they have responsibility of both home and office.
He said women employees both at the office and field level have contributed in taking the Electricity Board to this higher level. He appealed to the women employees to do their work in a similar manner in the future also. In the cultural programme, Saraswati Vandana Lavani dance of Nisha Dixit and Kinnauri song by Suraj Negi, Aarti Aanchal Shailaja, Usha, Aarti dance were appreciated by the participants. The pahari folk dance was performed under the direction of Champa that enthralled the audience.
Director Operations Engineer Manoj Upreti, Director Technical Engineer Sandeep Kumar, Executive Director Manoj Kumar were present on the occasion. Around 200 women staff of the board headquarters complex attended the function.
