NEW DELHI ’s Lieutenant Governor has given the green light to prosecute controversial author Arundhati Roy under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
The news has sent shivers down the spine among the writers fraternity..
This stems from accusations that Roy made incendiary remarks at a Kashmir conference, suggesting that Kashmir was never a part of India and calling for its independence.
