Solan: During an unexpected stop in Kandaghat on his return from Solan, Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu inspected the stalled construction of the 50-bed hospital, which was initiated under the previous Congress government with a budget of ₹14 crore.
The project had been halted during the BJP's tenure.
Locals urged the CM to restart the work, to which he assured them that the state government would allocate the necessary funds and directed the Health Department to submit a proposal for resuming the project.
CM Sukhu also visited the Kandaghat playground, where residents requested its expansion for better youth sports facilities.
The Chief Minister instructed the concerned department to propose an expansion plan, assuring that their request would be sympathetically considered.
The CM was accompanied by Health Minister Dr. (Col.) Dhani Ram Shandil, Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh, and other key officials and Congress leaders.
