Shimla: The Right wing organisations and Vishwa Hindu Parishad-Backed Devbhoomi Sangharsh Samiti has made an urgent plea to the Governor, demanding action against illegal mosques being constructed on government land and 'Love Jihad' in Himachal Pradesh.
The Samiti led by VP Singh, secretary of the Samitit submitted its memorandum to the state governor Shiv Pratap Shukla at Raj Bhawan today and urged action on the memorandum and against the police officer for implicating the peaceful protestors during the recent protests in Sanjauli.
The Samiti accused the Wakf Board of illegally seizing ancestral Himachali properties, preventing rightful owners from buying or selling their land.
They also raised concerns about Bangladeshi and Rohingya infiltrators, accusing them of using fake Hindu identities to carry out "Love Jihad" and take over local businesses, threatening the state's cultural identity.
The Samiti condemned the government's "appeasement policy" and criticized police brutality during peaceful protests.
They cited data that the police have harassed over 146 in Shimla, 16 in Kullu, 8 in Solan, 14 in Hamirpur, and one each in Bilaspur and Mandi.
The Samiti is calling for the Governor to intervene and stop these illegal actions and false cases against their activists.
Governor has assured action and will summon officials over the harassment and torture of Devbhoomi Sangharsh Samiti protestors.
